P2P Trading Warning – Not Necessarily a Scam, But Definitely Not Fair Play

Abstract generation in progress

This is not necessarily a form of fraud, but it is also not entirely fair – rather, it takes advantage of the loopholes in the system. In the past, there have been cases in P2P transactions where orders were locked, and users were pressured to make up the price difference; otherwise, the seller would not release the coin.

Now, a new trick is being used – exploiting advertising to "climb to the top" of the Buy/Sell list. Like many people, I also often choose the buyers/sellers at the top position because I think that is the best price. 🔥 The other day, I accidentally discovered something was off. Initially, I entered the amount of 100 million VND (~3.788 USD) and everything seemed normal. But when transferring money from the Earn wallet to the Funding wallet to perform a P2P transaction, I found that amount could only be exchanged for 96 USDT. At that moment, it dawned on me – the first advertisement was a sponsored one, with a price difference of about 3.4–3.5%, equivalent to losing about 900–1,000 USD if transacting a large amount. Even when filtered by conditions, sponsored ads still appear at the top position, so special care is needed. 🧨 The trap is here: these top ads often set a minimum trading limit of 700 million VNĐ (~30,000 USD). If you trade a small amount, you might not notice. But if you accidentally click on a sponsored ad, the system will hold the crypto. If the seller marks it as "money sent", you cannot cancel the order. By the time you realize, it's too late – you have "fallen" into an unfavorable transaction. 🔥 Similar risks also occur for buyers: the price of USDT is already high, and if the additional margin due to advertising is added, you will be buying at a high price. For those trading with small profit margins ( or even facing losses ), this could wipe out profits. Advertising is normal if used correctly. But currently, some traders are exploiting the system to push profit margins excessively, taking advantage of users' trust in the default display positions. 👉 This is harming the normal trading community. I have attached an illustrative image (if there is), but I suspect this post will soon be deleted or reported – so anyone who reads this should take note! 💡 Safe Tips When Trading P2P: ✅ Check the price in the advertisement carefully, even if it is a top advertisement. ✅ Be careful with sponsored ads - they may not be the best price. ✅ Apply filters intelligently, and don't rush when trading. ✅ Always confirm the actual USDT/VND exchange rate before pressing confirm. ✅ Pay attention to the minimum limit and be cautious with locked orders. ✅ If unsure, prioritize trading with sellers who have verification and a reputable history. 💡 Stay alert and trade smart. P2P is very convenient, but only when you have enough information. Wishing everyone safe and profitable trading.💰
