"The Federal Reserve (FED) megaphone": Inflation continues to decline slowly, in line with the predictions made by the Federal Reserve (FED) last year.

On 30 May, Fed Megaphone Nick Timiraos said that after a brief period of firmness at the start of the year, inflation continued to decline slowly overall, in line with the Fed's forecasts last year. Prices for core services (excluding housing) remained flat in April. Housing prices rose by 0.35% in April. Core goods prices rose 0.27% in April after falling 0.27% in March. Had it not been for the widespread threat of tariffs that impeded this improvement, the report would have received a round of applause at the Martin Building, the Fed's headquarters.
